I have books and other things going on in my life that outshine Kim Kardashian. I feel I just outshine her when it comes to both our personal and professional lives.

Victory Summer Love:  5.2% ABV

This is a summer staple at my house.  It’s got low alcohol and is very refreshing with the perfect bitterness and hop aroma to let you know that Victory made it.  The light body allows the beer to go well with grilled fish or chicken.

Dogfish Head Festina Peche:  4.5% ABV

Dogfish Head always amazes me.  They take beer styles Americans are not familiar with, put their name on it, and it sells!  This Berliner Weisse is no different.  This tart, pale straw colored brew is great for the first BBQ of the year or just to stay cool on those increasingly hot days.

Doc’s Apple Hop Cider:  5% ABV

I was new to the hopped cider style before I tried this one.  I’m not the biggest fan of ciders, but this one was so good I have to share it.  Extremely dry and refreshing with a huge hop aroma and clean finish.  This cider will pair well with salads, grilled salmon or even an apple tart.

Flying Dog In Heat Wheat:  4.7% ABV

This German Style Hefeweizen is pretty spot on to style.  Good dose of bananas and cloves with a nice unfiltered body.  Great with a classic Swiss mushroom burger or  maybe to cool off some spicy buffalo wings.

Ruckus Hoptimus Prime:  9% ABV

This is a doozy of a double IPA.  It’s got a huge punch of hop aroma and flavor but also some sweet malt to balance it out.  Pair this beer with some spicy steak fajitas or a nice chunk of aged bleu cheese.

 Ithaca Flower Power: 7.5% ABV

Flower power is all about the hops.  It’s brewed with five different kinds and then dry hopped on three more.  You can smell the fresh grapefruit aroma the second you pop the bottle.  This is a great IPA for any time of year and goes really well with stuffed poblano peppers.
